Cecilia Tan

Cecilia Tan is “simply one of the most important writers, editors, and innovators in contemporary American erotic literature,” according to Susie Bright. “It was her revolutionary, genre-breaking efforts decades ago that brought science fiction, fantasy, and erotic[a]… together.” The founder of Circlet Press and author of the groundbreaking Telepaths Don’t Need Safewords, Tan was awarded Career Achievement in Erotic Fiction in 2015 by RT Magazine and also their prestigious Pioneer Award. Her books include the novels The Prince’s Boy, The Velderet, and the Magic University series, as well as three collections of short stories. Her stories have appeared in Asimov’s, Strange Horizons, Nerve, Ms., and Best American Erotica, among many other places. Her current works in progress include a new web fiction project for Serial Box Publishing entitled Geek, Actually, and she will launch a new urban fantasy series at Tor Books entitled The Vanished Chronicles in the coming year. The first book in the series will be Initiates of the Blood.
