Esther Friesner

Esther Friesner

Nebula Award winner Esther Friesner is the author of over 40 novels and more than 200 short stories, none of which have anything to do with her Yale Ph.D. in Spanish. Her reputation mostly teeters atop having created and edited the Chicks in Chainmail series for Baen Books. She is also to blame for the popular Princesses of Myth series of YA novels from Random House.

Of course she has a cat.

Also a fondness for bittersweet chocolate, graphic novels, manga, travel, and jewelry. There is no truth to the rumor that her family motto is “Oooooh, SHINY!”

Her super-power is the ability to winnow her bookshelves without whining about it. Much.
